Can I get Affordable Care Act (ACA) insurance today?

You can if you meet certain qualifiers such as the following:

getting married
having a baby, adopted a child, or placed a child for foster care
Got divorced or legally separated and lost health insurance (getting divorced without losing coverage does not qualify you),
if someone dies, you’ll qualify for a Special Enrollment Period if someone on your Marketplace plan dies which causes you to lose your current health plan
if you move to
a new home in a new ZIP code or county
the U.S. from a foreign country or United States territory

Or, move to or from:

Place you attend school (if you’re a student)
Place you both live and work (if you’re a seasonal worker)
Shelter or other transitional housing
Lost employer coverage within last 60 days
Loss of Medicaid

Other than the above options you may have to wait till Open Enrollment starting November 1 of the year.

When is the Open Enrollment for Affordable Care Act?

Is Marketplace, Obamacare and the Affordable Care Act all the same thing?

A subsidy is a direct payment made by a government to a company or other organization as a form of assistance.

You may qualify for subsidy depending on your family tax household size & the taxable income filed for the year you are trying to obtain health insurance coverage.
